Camino Cabs

A taxi platform built together with a group of Dublin drivers — passenger and driver apps that cut the middleman, with no platform commissions and no hidden technology fees.

Camino Cabs is the project we're proudest of — not because it's the biggest, but because of how it came together. We approached a group of taxi drivers in Dublin with an idea: what if their own platform could give passengers lower fares and drivers their full margin — without the commissions the big apps charge? They said yes, and we built the whole thing: the website, the SEO, the passenger app, the driver app and the operations behind it.

2Apps — passenger & driver, iOS + Android
2026Launched on a lean budget

01 What we built

Passenger app

Book a taxi in a few taps — for now or scheduled in advance — see your driver, and pay. iOS and Android, published on both stores.

Driver app

Receive jobs, navigate, and track earnings — with the points and rewards system no other platform offers.

Admin panel

The control room: every trip in real time, manual trip assignment, revenue by date range, and a full email system for both passengers and drivers.

WhatsApp + AI bookings

Reservations arrive by WhatsApp and the AI assistant books them automatically — for now or in advance, without a human touching it.

Website & SEO

The public face and the search presence that brings new passengers — live at www.caminocabs.ie.

Backend & dispatching

The engine behind all three apps: matching, pricing and payments, running the fleet day to day.

02 What makes it different

No commissions for drivers

Drivers keep what they earn. No per-trip commission like the big platforms — the margin stays with the people doing the work.

No technology fees for passengers

Passengers skip the extra charges other apps add on top of the fare. The price you see is the price you pay.

Points & signals for drivers

Completed trips generate points and signals that reward consistent drivers — built into the driver app from day one.

Physical rewards

A prize system that turns completed work in a given period into real, physical rewards for the drivers.

03 The results so far

1,500+ trips completed

Real passengers, real drivers, real rides — since launch in 2026, on a budget most agencies would call impossible.

5.0 on Google Play

Passengers rate the experience five stars — the strongest signal a new platform can earn.

Win-win, by design

Drivers earn more per trip, passengers pay less per ride, and the platform grows with the drivers — not at their expense.

Built to scale

The same system can open in a new city with new drivers — the hard part, the technology, is already done.

"We've seen every angle of this project — the drivers win, the passengers win, and the technology pays for itself by cutting the middleman. That's the kind of build GROWXIA exists for." — The Camino Cabs team

05 Frequently asked questions

Is Camino Cabs a real, live product?

Yes. The passenger and driver apps are published on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, and the platform has completed more than 1,500 trips since launching in 2026.

Who owns Camino Cabs?

Camino Cabs is its own company, launched together by GROWXIA and a group of Dublin taxi drivers — we designed and built the whole platform, and the drivers run and grow the service with it.

How was it built on a lean budget?

One focused MVP first: booking, dispatching and payments — no wasted features. Both platforms were built from one codebase, and everything not core to the first launch was scheduled for later phases.

Why do drivers and passengers win?

Drivers avoid the high per-trip commissions other platforms charge, and passengers avoid the extra technology fees. The platform keeps the margin in the hands of the people doing the work.
